Privacy policy
What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy describes what Signaloquy LLC ("Signaloquy", "we") does with information about visitors to our website, people who contact us, and our customers — for example a name, an email address, or billing information.
You hold it, you decide how long to keep it, and you decide who may see it. Where those records are concerned you are the controller and the custodian, and we are neither — we supply the tool and the design, not a place your data goes. If you need to know how that data is handled, the answer is your own policies and your own agreement with your AI provider, not this document.
This website collects nothing
The only requests your browser makes to anyone other than our host are to Google Fonts
(fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) to load the typefaces
this page is set in; Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Everything else
on the page is served from our own host. If we ever add analytics of any kind, this section
will say so before it happens.
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address | You email us or start a purchase | To answer you, and to deliver what you bought |
| Company name, approximate headcount, states of operation | You complete a fit check | To tell you honestly whether the product suits you |
| Billing information | You buy a subscription | To take payment. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never reach us |
| Purchase record, including the acknowledgments you tick at checkout and when you ticked them | You buy a subscription | To evidence what was disclosed to you before you paid |
| Correspondence with us | Whenever you write to us | To keep a coherent record of a conversation |
| Product feedback | You report a problem or request a change | To fix and improve the product. Our feedback records carry no customer employee data — that is a standing internal rule, not a preference |
We do not buy contact data, and we do not sell, rent, or share yours.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We hold this information because you asked us to do something — answer a question, assess fit, deliver a product you bought — or because we have a legitimate interest in running and defending a business, such as keeping records of what a customer agreed to. Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it, and you can withdraw it.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers, each for one job. We do not give them your information for their own purposes.
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Microsoft | Our email and business files |
| Stripe | Payment processing and payment-related tax calculation |
| Mercury | Our business banking, including invoices we send |
| GitHub | Storage of our own business records |
| Cloudflare | Serving this website |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim. If Signaloquy is ever sold or merged, information may transfer with the business, and we will say so here before it happens.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become customers: 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Customer records, including purchase and acknowledgment records: 7 years after the relationship ends, or longer where the law requires it or a legal claim could still arise.
- Correspondence: if you never become a customer, 24 months after our last contact, like an enquiry; if you do, it is kept with your customer records.
We keep purchase and acknowledgment records for as long as they could matter to a dispute about what was agreed, because that is the reason they exist.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it,
- give you a copy in a portable form, and
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Ask at evan@signaloquy.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Security
We protect this information with multi-factor authentication on every account that holds it, full disk encryption on the machines we use, credentials held in a password manager rather than in files, and offsite backups. We hold no customer employee data, so there is no central store of your workforce's pay records to breach. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
Our product is sold to businesses. It is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email rather than relying on you to notice.
